About Me...

0 min read
I'm a 29 year old rookie comic book colorist. I started working with photoshop  in July of 2010. I have no training and right now it shows, but I'm working hard on getting better day by day. Soon my dreams of "breaking in" and getting published will happen. The ultimate goal is to write/color/ink my own comic. All that is missing is the skills to wield a pencil. If your an artist that is intrested in working with me or your a creator in need of some colors then feel free to contact me at lostgrove@hotmail.com

I want your input for future additions to this gallery. Tell me what characters you want to see. Don't be shy, I won't bite...hard. Also open to submission work if your putting together your own book and need someone to provide the colors...think of me. Thanks again and God bless. -Dusty

Hey Kids! First entry into the journal. A little bit about myself; I started working with Photoshop CS5 Extended about three months ago. I've always loved comics, and since I can't draw a lick, I figured this would be the next best way to work on the characters and comics I love. I'm open to ideas and suggestions for pages and pieces to work on. If you have a book that you need a colorist for, or have a sample page you want to see in color then please feel free to send me a message at lostgrove@hotmail.com and I'll take a crack at it. Just remember though I need the artists name so I can list them in the credit box. Also I would like to ment

Thanks for the feedback, but I like bright comics. Muted and muddy tones just hide the linework. Sure it looks cooler, but it seems such a dis-service to the artists and their talents.
Bright comics. Have you ever tried challenging yourself with maybe, the Dark Knight, or Morpheus(Neil Gaiman's Sandman)? Try to do a dark character without compromising the line work.

Still dig your style, anyway. Old school.
